Mount Saint Joseph Environmental Club
Moderator: Mr. Greg McDivitt
Purpose: To promote environmental awareness and conservation practices by running the campus' Paper Recycling Program, participating in on-campus clean-ups, and occasionally assisting in off-campus conservation projects (ex. - Gwynns Falls watershed restoration projects, Maryland Save Our Streams tree plantings). The club also sponsors outdoor adventure trips including hiking, canoeing, kayaking, whitewater rafting, and spelunking.
Meetings: After school as needed, in Room 113.
What you need: A commitment to hours required of Club members for emptying of paper recycling bins after school or during homeroom, and attendance at a minimum of one adventure trip or off-campus activity during an academic year.
