Berners-Lee Proposal--1990

Tim Berners-Lee, a researcher at CERN, a physics laboratory in Geneva, developed HyperText Markup Language, (HTML).   He helped the Internet to expand into the World Wide Web, (WWW).

ARPANET Topology--1969

The Internet had its beginnings in a networking project begun by the Pentagon's Advanced Research Project Agency (ARPA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Defense built to link scientific and academic researchers across the United States.

Integrated Circuit -- 1958

Jack Kilby created the first integrated circuit at Texas Instruments.  He proved  that resistors and capacitors could exist on the same piece of semiconductor material.
