Human Chromosomes

Chromosomes carry all the genetic information for any organism.  They are found in the nucleus of the cell and contain the DNA that is the organisms "Genetic Blueprint".  As a result of the work that began with, among others, Watson and Crick; today we have a much better understanding of the significance of chromosomal maps.

Much of the current information we know about chromosomes and DNA has come as a result of the Human Genome Project.  Below you will find some links that will prove helpful in understanding this information.
